Nikon FM21982 – 2001Upgraded fully mechanical model with titanium (later aluminum) shutter and 1/4000 s top speed. Extremely robust and still in professional use.
Nikon FE21983 – 1987Electronically refined FE with faster 1/4000 s shutter and 1/250 s sync. Silicon blue cell metering, optimized for AI-S lenses.
Nikon FA1983 – 1987First Nikon with Matrix Metering (Automatic Multi-Pattern). Added Program and Shutter-priority AE. Technically ambitious, blending pro features into the compact body.
Nikon FM101995 – 2020Entry-level, Cosina-built mechanical SLR. Styled after the FM2, light and affordable, widely used in education.
Nikon FE101996 – 2001Electronic companion to the FM10. Simplified aperture-priority model aimed at students.
Nikon FM3A2001 – 2006Hybrid mechanical/electronic design combining FM2 reliability with FE2 automation. All speeds work mechanically without batteries; aperture-priority AE when powered. Last manual-focus Nikon built in Japan.
